Henckelia communis is an endemic herb found in moist and intermediate zones of Sri Lanka.

Henckelia angusta

Henckelia angusta is an endemic herb found on rocky surfaces of shady sreams. It has been restricted to lowland forests of southwestern part of Sri Lanka.

It is an indigenous plant found in Sri Lanka and some other Asian countries. It is grown in hill country and mostly found close to water streams. Above photographs were taken close to a stream in Badulla district where elevation above the sea level is about 790m.
