English: Oriental Green-Wing
Binomial: Neurobasis chinensis chinensis
Oriental Green-Wing is a brightly colored damselfly found in Asian countries including Sri Lanka. It can be identified easily by metallic green body and the wings. Females are pale in color. This damselfly lives close to streams. IUCN Red List status is 'Least concern'. Above photographs were taken close to a stream at the "Sri Pada" Peak Wilderness sanctuary where elevation above the sea level is about 1050m.
